The Otoe County Horse Shows were Monday and Tuesday of the fair.
After a heavy downpour Sunday, the ground was muddy around the horse arena, but the show went on as planned.
Showmanship winners were Jessica Shefferd, top senior; John Essink, top intermediate; and Dustin Schmidt, top junior showman.
Interspersed with the heated competition were some fun activities such as the Stick Horse races for kids 7 and under.
