Guidelines
We encourage the public to submit news of general interest.
Submissions that are rumors or insulting in nature will not
be used. Do not send offensive material and do not violate
anyone's privacy when collecting or submitting news. |

What
is "news"?
Send us photos and details about your church activities,
club news, neighborhood happenings, sporting events ‹
anything you think might be of general interest. If we agree,
we will publish it! |

| Take great photos:
Compose your pictures like a professional by following these
tips when you are out in the field.
PHOTO REQUIREMENTS
Format: JPG, GIF, and PNG
Maximum file size: 5 MB |
Shoot great video:
VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
Formats accepted: AVI, MOV, WMV
Formats NOT accepted: MPG and FLV
Maximum file size: 8 MB |
| Write a title:
1. Write your copy in the content section. (Hint: It may
be easier to pre-write your story in a word processing program
before you get to this site and then cut and paste your text
into this section.)
2. If you have it, upload a picture, video or sound file to
your story.
3. Click the submit button. You’re done!
Upload files (videos or pictures) from my computer:
1. First click on the appropriate link at the top of this
page.
2. After writing your title and story content, click on the
"Choose File" button and select the file you'd like
to send us from your hard drive.
3. Click the "Submit" button to upload your story
and file it to Hometown Reporter. |
Send photos and
video from my cell phone:
2. After capturing an image or video with your device, use
your phone's Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) to e-mail
attachments to webmaster@ncnewspress.com. Check with your
service provider for instructions specific to your particular
phone.
3. Type in some descriptive text into the message area describing
your photo or video. Do not write text in the subject line,
only in the description area.
4. Click send.
5. SPECIAL NOTE: Although there is no charge to upload your
photos and videos to Hometown Reporter, your carrier
may charge you for the data transfer. Please check your plan
if you are concerned with any charges that might be incurred. |
