Nebraska City topped Gering 10-8 Tuesday night to advance to championship day at the Class B tourney.

Despite facing daunting early game deficits, Nebraska City bounced back to tie the game at 7-7 before eventually taking the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to a two-run victory.

With the win, Nebraska City advances to play at 5 p.m. Wednesday. A win in the 5 p.m. game, plus a win in the 8 p.m. contest would yield a state championship for Nebraska City.
