A quality starting pitching performance, two RBI hits and a solid closing effort pushed the Nebraska City Seniors past Falls City and into the Class B state baseball tourney during action at the Syracuse area tourney on Tuesday.

Matt Russell supplied a quality start on the mound. John Russell hit a homer and Seth Chatfield had an RBI hit. And Logan Ehlers pitched the final inning to cement a 2-0 win for Nebraska City in the championship game of the area tourney.
