Norma Lee, park host at Riverview Marina State Recreation Area, said the dock was underwater on Friday evening. She closed the park shortly after and said the park roads were swamped by 8:30 p.m.

“It’s a mess. It’s the worst since 1993,” she said.

Heavy upstream rains, including up to 12 inches in areas of central and east central Nebraska over the weekend, is causing the flooding.

Flooding has been reported in the Platte, Elkhorn, Loup, Niobrara, Republican and Little Blue river systems.
