Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City was victim of vandalism Monday night.

Superintendent Jim Teten said it appears someone walked through the cemetery, randomly tipping over gravestones.

Ten markers were toppled, but only one broke. It was a sandstone spire that had stood since 1892 for Rosina Mitzner. Teten said he believes the spire can be repaired and replaced.

The cemetery has security cameras, which are primarly intended to capture images on the roadway. No images from people walking through were captured.
