Trudy A. Jordan, 64, of Rock Port, Mo., formerly of Percival and Nebraska City, died on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She was born on Feb. 29, 1944 in Nebraska City, the daughter of John Nelson and Martha Marie (Wilkerson) Murphy.

She married Tony G. Jordan, Sr. on Aug. 2, 1966 in Nebraska City. He preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2007.

Trudy worked as a seamstress, a waitress at Fetty’s and was a cashier at Norman’s for 12 years. She was a former officer of the Eagles Auxiliary in Nebraska City.

She is survived by her four children: Rhonda Ullsperger and husband David of Nebraska City, John W. “Willie” Witty and wife Rachel of El Paso, Texas, Tony “Toad” Jordan, Jr. and wife Michelle of Lenexa, Kan., and Christina “Bear” Christian and husband Kevin of Rock Port, Mo.; nine grandchildren: Amy Allgood, D.J. Ullsperger, Mindy Witty, Michael Witty, Drew Ullsperger, Hayley Christian, Jordan Christian, Ashley Christian and Mary Witty; two grand-dogs, Soxs and Cati; five great-grandchildren: Cloey, Macey, Bayley, Jozey and Andey; brother Ben Murphy and wife Nancy of Hilltop Lake, Texas; sister-in-law Carol Murphy of Lincoln; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Rodney Hopper officiating. Burial will be in the Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City. Visitation is from 1-8 p.m. Sunday with the family receiving friends from 2-4 p.m. at the Gude Mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the Trudy Jordan Memorial Fund.
