The Fremont County Board of Supervisors approved the plat map for phase three of the Wilds development near Bartlett.
This phase includes 111 RV lots as well as a 9-hole executive golf course, featuring seven par-3 holes and two par-4 holes and a 2-building clubhouse.
The clubhouse will have sales offices, conference area and a check-in area for golfers in one building and will have a gathering area for the community in the second building.
Developer Faron McFarland says that, until the home-owners association gets going, the golf course and clubhouse will be open to the public.
“Ultimately it will be their decision if it will remain public,” he said.
The golf course is roughly six weeks away from completion; however it will not be “playable” until this fall and the clubhouse will not be started for another 30-45 days.
From the time work is started on the clubhouse, it will take about 90 days to build.
The first two phases of the project included 82 lots on the river side of the levee ” 39 “river front” lots with the remainder “river view” lots.
McFarland says only 27 of the lots from the first two phases remain unsold.
“None of the developments I have had in the past have met with the same level of interest as this,”he said.
In the last 10 days, McFarland says he has sold seven lots.
“I think that this is all because cabin fever has been very intense this year and people are ready to get out,” he said.
Since beginning the project, McFarland says he has seen great support from the local community, from the county as a whole, and from the Tabor business community.
“This is really a win-win,” he said.
