Julia Marie Policky, 95, Columbus, formerly Syracuse, died Friday, May 2, 2008, at BryanLGH East Hospital, Lincoln. She was born Sept. 13, 1912, at Plasi, Neb., daughter of George and Celestine Bartek. She married Adolph Policky Nov. 27, 1934.
Policky lived at Brainard, Weston, Syracuse and Columbus. She was a member of St. Anthony’s and St. Paulinus Altar Society, Prayer Lines and Pink Sisters of Lincoln. She enjoyed work in her flower garden, prayer and family.
Surviving are sons, Frank and wife Lena and Lee and wife Kim; daughters, Marlene Lowery and Judy Micari and husband Gene Groene; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a sister, Lillian and husband Frank Pekarek.
She was preceded by her husband; daughter, Patricia; six brothers and three sisters.
Rosary was Tuesday, May 6, at St. Paulinus Catholic Church, Syracuse. Mass was Wednesday, May 7, at St. Anthony’s, Columbus. Graveside service was the afternoon of May 7 at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
