Pauline Haverkamp, 78, of Nebraska City died April 24, 2008 at St. Mary’s Community Hospital in Nebraska City. She was born on Aug. 22, 1929 in Avoca, the daughter of William Henry and Rubie Muzetta (Kress) Emshoff.
She attended school in Nebraska City and graduated from Nebraska City High School with the class of 1946. She married Mervin L. Haverkamp on April 3, 1952 in Nebraska City.
She worked for Montgomery Wards for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nebraska City.
She is survived by her son Gary Haverkamp of Chicago, Ill.; grandson Christopher Haverkamp of Springfield, Neb.; siblings William M. Emshoff and wife Carley of Council Bluffs, Robert E. Emshoff and wife Claire of Nebraska City, Mary Ann Miller and husband Rex of Akron, Ohio, and Betty Morrow-Greenwade and husband Mel of Auburn; other family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Funeral services were April 27 at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. A private burial was held on Monday.
Memorials can be directed to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
