Lauriene Anna Shrewsbury, 87, of Nebraska City died at Golden Living Center in Nebraska City on April 25, 2008. She was born May 5, 1920 at Julian to Clem and Wilhemina (Keen) Stites. She married Arnold Shrewsbury.
Survivors include sister-in-law Luceene Shrewsbury of Nebraska City; cousins Edna Kunz of Dunbar, Kathryn Bottcher of Nebraska City, Shirley Pfeiffer of Talmage and Janice Keen of Syracuse; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Judith Ann Shrewsbury.
She lived in the Julian area for many years prior to moving to Nebraska City in 1997. She was a homemaker and member of Julian United Methodist Church and the Julian Community Club.
She was a loving mother and wife and a friend to all. She took care of her daughter that had special needs until her daughter died in 1997.
Funeral services were Monday, April 28, at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with Rev. Jeff Kelley of the First United Methodist Church in Nebraska City officiating.
Pallbearers were Larry Pfeiffer, Joe Epler, Dennis Shrewsbury, Tony Douglas, Pat Hodges and Tim Clarke. Burial was at Glenrock Cemetery near Brock.
Memorials are suggested to Glenrock Cemetery or Tabitha Hospice.
