IMPACT Community Action Partnership is partnering with the Boone Fareway store to “Round Up” for the Boone County IMPACT Food Pantry.
Starting Aug. 22 and going through Sept. 3, you can simply “round up” your Fareway grocery bill total to an even amount. The difference will be donated to the Boone County IMPACT Food and Personal Pantry to purchase needed food and personal care products. Some needed items are meat, dairy products, laundry soap and toilet paper – and all things used with these funds will stay in Boone County to directly support the families in our community.
IMPACT is a private, non profit organization that assists limited income households with meeting their basic needs. One of the biggest programs low-income families use in the Boone County office is the food and personal pantries. In the past year, there has been a tremendous growth in the food pantry alone. In July only, the Boone County IMPACT food pantry experienced a 201 percent growth. Of these, 50 percent were children or elderly.
Please help us support this needed service to our most vulnerable population.
