The first step to improving upon a 25-13 overall record begins this Friday for the Peru State volleyball team. Interim head coach Joan Albury and her Bobcat team will be participating in the Bethel College Pilot Invitational in Mishawaka, Ind.

This is a new tournament for the 'Cats and they will play two games on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Peru State will take on Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) at 2 p.m. (CST) and then will face Trinity Christian College at 5 p.m. Last year, the Stritch Wolves finished with a 32-11 record while Trinity's Trolls finished with a 23-17 mark.
 
On Saturday, the Bobcats will take on the hosts at 9 a.m. The Pilots finished the 2015 campaign with an 18-18 record. In their final match in the tournament, Peru State will face Indiana Wesleyan at noon. The Wolves finished the year with a 36-9 record.
 
Eleven returners and 11 newcomers make up the 2016 Peru State volleyball team. Morgan Ogorzaly is the graduate assistant with volleyball and is in her second season with the team.
