  • Bobcats look to build on strong 2013 season

  • The 2014 Peru State Bobcats football team will look to build off the success of their 2013 campaign which saw the 'Cats finishing ranked 24th in the 2013 NAIA Football Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll. The Bobcats completed the season with a 7-4 overall record and were 5-4 in the Heart of America Conference (HAAC).

  • The 2014 Peru State Bobcats football team will look to build off the success of their 2013 campaign which saw the 'Cats finishing ranked 24th in the 2013 NAIA Football Coaches' Postseason Top 25 Poll.  The Bobcats completed the season with a 7-4 overall record and were 5-4 in the Heart of America Conference (HAAC).
     
    Although the 'Cats finished in the Top 25 in the final poll of the year, they peaked as high as ninth before finishing the season on a three-game losing streak. Three of the four losses came to eventual playoff teams, two of those losses came by a combined 11 points. Peru State will look to replace 18 seniors from last year's squad, many of whom played key roles for the Bobcats.
     
    However, the success of the 2013 football team, combined with the completion of the renovated Oak Bowl, has sparked new interest in Peru State Football and allowed for a promising recruiting class. The future for the program is bright, as well as, the expectations.
