The game starts at 7 p.m. (Eastern) from Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C.   On Monday night, New Jersey defeated Waipahu, Hawaii, 7-6, and Michigan edged Omaha, Neb., Post 1, 4-3, to advance to the title game.   This is the first year of a five-year contract with ESPN that will expand the viewership of the American Legion World Series to nearly 80 million. Before tonight, the last time a Legion World Series championship game was live on TV was 35 years ago in Greenville, Miss.
