Clara M. Sedoris, age 90 of Lincoln, NE: formerly Nebraska City passed away on Friday; July 11, 2014 at the High Plains Specialty Care Center in Lincoln, NE.
She was born on May 2, 1924 at Russell Springs, KS; the youngest of ten children of Charles B. and Anna M. (O’Neal) Majors.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Jordon. He preceded her in death in March of 1955. She later married Jack E. Sedoris on December 21, 1955 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2006.
Clara worked at the Bomber Plant in Bellevue, NE during World War II from 1944 to 1945.
She also worked at other various places including Porter Orchards and the Nebraska School for the Visually Handicapped where she retired from.
She was a long-time member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Nebraska City.
She is survived by her children: Jim Jordon and wife Karen of Nebraska City, NE; Bob Jordon and wife Sue of LaVista, NE; Virginia “Tweety” Farnstrom and husband Kim of Ord, NE and Patty Sedoris and special friend Mitch Voyles of Lincoln, NE; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by five brothers: Clayton, Raymond, Logan, Deps and George; and four sisters: Margaret Hillery, Grace South, Bernice Gerber and Josie Bucholz.
Memorial Services will be held Friday afternoon (July 18) at 2:30 p.m. at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Rev. Rodger Good officiating; inurnment will be in the Wyuka Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the family in her memory.
