The Fremont County Fair is fast approaching and pre-fair activities are already under way.
On Thursday, July 10, 4-H families are expected to attend the fair clean up from 5-9 p.m. A meal will be sponsored by Gavilon.
Fair clean up and set up continues 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Sunday the fair queen judging will be at 7 p.m. at the United Faith Church in Sidney.
Tuesday, July 15,  begins with a flag raising at 8 a.m.  
- 8:30 a.m.  Table setting judging at the Open Class Building.
- 9 a.m.-3 p.m.  4-H and FFA Conference judging of clothing selection, fashion revue, and photography will be held at the McElroy Building, as well as all Horse Show static exhibits, all horse project participants, and all large exhibits (i.e. chutes, hutches, tables, etc.).
- 5 p.m. Meet the Queen candidates.
- 5:30 p.m. Welcome BBQ sponsored by Green Plains Renewable Energy.
- 6 p.m. Fair Queen coronation.
- 8-10 p.m. Pool party for 4-H and FFA members only.  (Younger siblings of 4-H and FFA members, including Clover Kids, must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian, and 4-H clubs must provide adult volunteers.)

Wednesday, July 16,  all static exhibits shown today and other deliveries must enter through the Main Gate on the northwest corner of the fairgrounds.  The day’s schedule includes:
8 a.m. flag raising
8-9 a.m. 4-H and FFA horse check-in and vet check at the fair office.
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clover Kids showcase.
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.  4-H and FFA Conference Judging in the McElroy Building for all remaining static exhibits.
9:30 a.m. is the starting time of the 4-H and FFA Horse Show Trail Class Events #94.1-#94.3.
12:30 p.m. the 4-H and FFA Horse Show starts.
4-8 p.m. Papa Bear Carvings will demonstrate.
5-7 p.m. Open Class Entries accepted.  (New Time!)
Thursday, July 17 events kick off early.
7:45 a.m. Pullorum testing of poultry starts at Fremont County Vet Clinic with times to be assigned by 4-H staff.
8 a.m. is the flag raising. Weigh-in for market sheep, wether goats, swine and beef entries, in that order, also begins with no entries accepted after 11 a.m.
8-11 a.m. Open Class Entries accepted.  (New Time!)
11 a.m.  Open Class judging.
11:30 a.m. poultry and rabbits must be in pens.
Noon is breeding beef check-in at the Fair Office.
1 p.m. is the start of 4-H and FFA Educational Presentation judging.
1:30 p.m. is the starting time of the 4-H, FFA and Clover Kids dog, cat and pet shows.
3 p.m. the 4-H, FFA and Clover Kids Sheep Show begins.
5 p.m. a free-will donation barbecue is sponsored by Fremont County Soil & Water Conservation District.
6 p.m. is the starting time of the 4-H, FFA and Clover Kids Goat Show.
