Robert Leroy Bray, 63, passed away on June 18, 2014.
Robert Leroy Bray was born at the Brown Hospital on May 3, 1951, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Kenneth and Ruth (Paben) Bray. Robert was know by his friends as “Bob” or “Bobby”. He graduated from the Syracuse High School in 1969. He had lived in many places during his life time, which include: Dunbar, Nebraska; Lorton, Nebraska; Waukee, Iowa; and Nebraska City. From a previous marriage, Bob had two daughters: Cindi and Teresa Ann.
Bob was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan, Kansas City Royals baseball fan, he enjoyed playing golf and going fishing Bob was a great father, grandpa, brother and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends. Bob had worked for the Firestone Tire Company in Des Moines, Iowa, as a supervisor for many years. Bob was preceded in his death by his grandparents, John and Fern Paben of Nebraska City; parents, Kenneth and Ruth Bray of Dunbar; and aunt, Leta Golden of Texas.
Survivors of Bob include his two daughters: Cindi Bray of Nebraska City, Nebraska, and Teresa Ann Wademan of Stone Mountain, Georgia; granddaughter, Erin Wademan of Nebraska City, Nebraska; three brothers: Dan Bray and wife Linda of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tom Bray of Grand Island, Nebraska, Jack Bray of Nebraska City, Nebraska; three sisters: Gayle Nelson of Maine, Jane Lloyd of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Judy Redden and husband Kenneth of Shawnee, Kansas; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
There will be no Viewing or Visitation at Peterson Mortuary.
A Celebration of the Life of Robert “Bob” Leroy Bray Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Peterson Mortuary Chapel n Nebraska City, Nebraska, with the Terry Weible officiating. The burial of ashes will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the choice of the family.
