An adult and three juveniles have been arrested in connection with vandalism in Knuckle’s Square Park, according to Nebraska City Police.
The suspects were cited on June 10, a day before the City announced that it would close the public restrooms in the parks.
“Oh, I’m happy,” said Dan Giitinger, the public properties director. “Hopefully, we fixed a problem going on everywhere.”
The suspects were arrested for crimes allegedly committed on June 8 and 9.
Vandalism has damaged public restrooms in Knuckle’s Square Park, Steinhart Park and at the Softball complex.
“They’ve damaged toilet paper holders and some of the plumbing,” said Giitinger. “Just destruction for destruction’s sake.”
