Fremont County survived last night's storms relatively intact. Riverton road J46 has been the only road closed due to flooding, and wind damage was minimal.
According to Fremont County Emergency Management Director Mike Crecelius, as of 9:45 a.m. this morning he had not received word of any major damage in the county from last night's storms. Riverton road J46 was closed due to flooding, and Nishnabotna River waters are high all around, but no other major damage has been reported yet.
Crecelius was out driving around the county as we spoke, taking pictures of high waters and looking for downed trees, branches, etc., but said so far it looked like Fremont County had been pretty lucky this time around.
