  • Obituary: Lorraine Hostetter, age 86

  • Lorraine Hostetter, 86, of Papillion, formerly Murray, died May 1, 2014 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Wilma Lorraine Morris was born Sept. 23, 1927 in Nebraska City to Silas F. and Veronica “Frone” Catherine (Gude) Morris.

  •  Lorraine Hostetter, 86, of Papillion, formerly Murray, died May 1, 2014 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Wilma Lorraine Morris was born Sept. 23, 1927 in Nebraska City to Silas F. and Veronica “Frone” Catherine (Gude) Morris.  
        She graduated from Ashland High School, Ashland, in 1945. She married Ronald D. Hostetter on Nov. 27, 1946 in Lincoln.  He preceded her March 30, 2000.
        Lorraine was a loving mother and wife who was devoted to her family.  She also worked at  Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, for 15 years before her retirement.  She was a long-time member of the Murray Christian Church.
        She is survived by children Karen Norton of Ashford, Conn., and Ronald Hostetter and wife Mary of Papillion; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.
        In addition to her husband, she was preceded by infant grandson Joel Hostetter and six siblings, Verona, Ople, Dorothy, Mary, Edward and Donald.
        A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, at the Murray Christian Church in Murray with Pastor Larry Hammons officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery southeast of
    Murray.
        Memorials may be given to the Murray Christian Church in her memory.
