  • Obituary: Robert C. "Bob" Beason, 68

  • Robert C. "Bob" Beason, 68, of Nebraska City died at his home on April 9, 2014. He was born on Aug. 13, 1945 at Nebraska City to Raymond G. Beason, Sr. and Ruth (Holland) Beason. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1963. He married Diane Kolb on June of 1964 in Nebraska City. Diane had a son, John Eads, and the couple had a son, Rick.

  •     Robert C.  "Bob" Beason, 68, of Nebraska City died at his home on April 9, 2014. He was born on Aug. 13, 1945 at Nebraska City to Raymond G. Beason, Sr. and Ruth (Holland) Beason.  He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1963. He married Diane Kolb on June of 1964 in Nebraska City.  Diane had a son, John Eads, and the couple had a son, Rick.  
        Bob worked at the former Morton House Kitchens in Nebraska City. In 1973 he joined the Nebraska City Police Department where he served as both a police officer and detective until 1979.  He then farmed until 1991 at which time he had a heart transplant.   
        He served in the United States National Guard from 1964 to 1984 and was a member of the American Legion.
        He is survived by lifetime companion Janelle Miller of Nebraska City; sons Rick Beason of Colorado and Dan Erwin and wife Vicki of Lincoln; grandchildren Lynn Espinosa, Stephanie Eads, Justin Eads and Connor Beason; great grandchild Gabriel; daughter-in-law Lori Hyatt of Lincoln; brother Raymond Beason,Jr. of Lincoln; other family and many friends.
        He was preceded by his parents and son John Eads.
        Funeral services are Monday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Fr. Matthew Koperski officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery with complete military honors by the Army National Guard Funeral Honors Detail.
        The family will greet friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Gude Mortuary.
        Memorials may be given to Tabitha Hospice, Nebraska City Volunteer Fire Department or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
