  • Nancy Ann (Garrett) Eads, 66, of Nebraska City died at her home April 5, 2014. She was born on Aug. 3, 1947 in Nebraska City to Bertle George and Marion Imogene (McCallum)
    Garrett. She graduated from Nebraska City High in 1965. She married John P. Eads on Nov. 22, 1967 at the First United Methodist Church in Nebraska City.

    Garrett.  She graduated from Nebraska City High in 1965. She married John P. Eads on Nov. 22, 1967 at the First United Methodist Church in Nebraska City.
        In addition to raising her family, she worked at various jobs including Maverick Media, American Meter and Ocoma Foods.  She loved her kids and family and spending time with them.  She was a former member of Luther
    Memorial Church in Syracuse.
        She is survived by husband John Eads of Nebraska City; children Scott Eads and wife Heather of Lincoln and JoAnn Helton and husband Ron of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren:  Alissa, Tony, Jessica, Justine, Christian, Dominic, Rachel, Connor, Griffin and Garrett; great-grandchild Aubrey; sisters Sally Pierce and husband Ron and
    Mary Blevins and husband Tom, all of Nebraska City; brothers Jim Garrett and wife Sandra of Omaha and David Garrett and wife Joyce of Strang, Okla.; brothers-in-law Andy Eads and wife Linda of Prole, Iowa, and David Eads and wife Lucille of Omaha; numerous nieces and nephews; other family and friends.
        She was preceded in death by parents Bert and Marion on Feb. 14, 1990 and Nov. 9, 2013 respectively, sister Susan Hoyle on Oct. 3, 1994, niece Lisa Graham, brother-in-law Phil Eads and parents-in-law Paul and Eloise Eads.
        Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at
    Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Paul Coen officiating;
    burial will follow in Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City.
        The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.
        A memorial fund is being established in her memory. Remembrances may be left at www.gudefuneralhomes.com.
        Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City is in charge of arrangements.
