Late game scoring delivered a three-game sweep for the Husker baseball team in Big 10 home action against Ohio State over the weekend.
The Huskers rallied for a 3-2 win on Friday and backed that up by post game winning hits with two outs in the bottom of the ninth frame on both Saturday and Sunday. Nebraska won 4-3 on Saturday and 2-1 on Sunday.
Pitching complete-game weekend wins for Nebraska were Aaron Bummer, on Sunday; Chance Sinclair, on Saturday; and Christian DeLeon, on Friday.
Tanner Lubach had the walk-off hit on Sunday after Michael Pritchard was the hero on Saturday. The Nebraska offense went scoreless for seven innings on Friday, but got a three-run eighth inning on the way to victory.
Nebraska has won four in a row now, counting the team’s Wednesday win at Arkansas, and will next be in action against Creighton at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Omaha. Television coverage will be by NET.
The Huskers have an overall record of 19-3 and are 4-2 in Big 10 play.
