A dominating performance delivered a 2-1 victory for the Nebraska City boys’ soccer team on Thursday against Waverly.
The Pioneers out shot their Viking rivals by a count of 19-3.
With the win, the Nebraska City advanced its record to 1-2 on the season.

Nebraska City recorded a pair of shots on goal and got 12 saves from Kenia Balquier in a home loss against the Vikings on Thursday.
With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 1-2 on the season.
Both of Nebraska City’s team’s will return to action Monday with matches against Norris. The Pioneer boys’ team will play at home at 6 p.m. and the girls’ team will play at Norris at 7 p.m.
