  • Harriet Marie Anderson, 79, of Nebraska City died at Good Samaritan Center - Auburn on March 21, 2014. She was born Jan. 2, 1935 at Omaha to Harry and Marie (Moore) McVay.
    She is survived by daughter Eulanda Cade and her husband, Terry, of Nemaha; grandchildren Heidi Fischer of Lincoln and Colin Cade of Nemaha; brother Charles McVay and wife Janet of Union; many other relatives and friends.

  • Harriet Marie Anderson, 79, of Nebraska City died at Good Samaritan Center - Auburn on March 21, 2014. She was born Jan. 2, 1935 at Omaha to Harry and Marie (Moore) McVay.
    She is survived by daughter Eulanda Cade and her husband, Terry, of Nemaha; grandchildren Heidi Fischer of Lincoln and Colin Cade of Nemaha; brother Charles McVay and wife Janet of Union; many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded by husbands Ransom Anderson and Melvin Hoback.
    She lived in Omaha, Union, Rapid City, S.D., and Cheyenne, Wyo. She moved to Auburn in 2012 to be near her family.
    She was a caregiver and waitress prior to her retirement.
    She was a member of Union Baptist Church and Nebraska City Eagles Auxiliary. She loved family, pets, horses, music and writing.
    Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with Rev. Corey Miller of the Auburn Christian Church officiating. Burial is at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery – Nehawka.
    Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Center or the family’s choice.
    Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.
