Cedar Valley Paving of Waterloo, Iowa, has the $11,116,000 contract.  Work will include replacement of the existing concrete roadway, new asphalt shoulders, bridge repair work at four bridges, new guardrail, grading and improved drainage.
US-75 will be closed beginning March 31 and will remain closed for the majority of the work with the roadway expected to be open by mid-September.  Access for local residents will be maintained using the nearest county roads.
A marked detour will be in place using Highway N-2, N-50 and US-34.  Completion of the project is anticipated by fall.
The Department of Roads’ manager for this project is Ryan Hobelman of Lincoln.
Motorists are reminded to read and adhere to construction signs and to drive cautiously.
