  • Robert Wiebke, 77, died March 5, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln. He was born June 11, 1936, on a farm near Cook to Martin and Emma (Spanjer) Wiebke. He married Carol Feurer on June 2, 1963, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Johnson.

  • Robert Wiebke, 77, died March 5, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln. He was born June 11, 1936, on a farm near Cook to Martin and Emma (Spanjer) Wiebke. He married Carol Feurer on June 2, 1963, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Johnson.
        He served in the Army and was discharged in 1963. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and meeting friends for coffee every morning.
        He was on the Grace Lutheran Church Council and was a Sunday school teacher. Even after moving to town, he still went out to the field to help with whatever was needed. He farmed from 1963 until 1986 when he went to work for the City of Cook and was there for many years.
        Bob is survived by wife Carol of Cook; daughter Barb (Jeff) Fricke of Burr; son Brian (Terri) Wiebke of Cook; grandchildren Casey (Emily) Fricke of Cook, Dustin (Jessi) Fricke of Adam, Ethan Fricke of Burr, Katie Hupka of Lincoln  and Kellie Hupka  of Cook; great grandchildren Noah, Kael, Carter, and Jude; and sisters and brothers Marilyn Saathoff of Sterling, Stan Wiebke of Cook, Eunice Wieble of Washington, Charles Wiebke of Iowa, and Ivan Wiebke of Colorado.
        Bob was preceded by brothers Everett and Ralph and sister Sandy Armknecht.
        Funeral service will be Monday, March 10,  at 2  p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Cook, with burial at Helena Cemetery.
        Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice for later designation.
        Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
