  • The Hamburg School Board held a special meeting on Feb. 7, at which the main topics were the previously tabled administrative realignment, the SBRC application, and the superintendent search process.
The board approved eliminating a principal post, proposed staff cuts due to the district's deficit, and moved ahead on finding a new superintendent.
Emotions were running strong as those in attendance again demanded answers to questions and shouted out comments during the meeting.
In addition, board member Susan Harris made an emotional plea to the public.
Farragut School Board also held a meeting in which plans for the superintendent post there and plans for dealing with the district deficit were discussed.
This week's Hamburg Reporter will follow up with more quotes and details.
