  • Driver killed in crash while going wrong way on interstate

  • David D. Miller, 33, of Benton, Ark., was killed at the 55.8 mile marker on I-29 when colliding head on with another vehicle while going the wrong direction on the interstate.

  • David D. Miller, 33, of Benton, Ark., was killed at the 55.8 mile marker on I-29, just north of Council Bluffs, when colliding head on with another vehicle while going the wrong direction on the interstate.
    The Iowa State Patrol reported the accident was at 11:32 p.m. Jan. 17. Miller was reported going northbound in the southbound lane in a 2008 Kia Spectra when he hit, head on, a 2005 Nissan Maxima driven by Fredy Zanabria of UNK. Zanabria was trapped in the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported by Life Flight to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
    Passengers Cesar Caballero, 23, and Luz Trujilo, 23, both of UNK, were also transported by Life Flight to UNMC in Omaha.
