Now that Thanksgiving has passed, its time to hear those age-old favorites youve come to know and love each and every year. Cmon, you know what Im talking about Gene Autrys Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Bing Crosbys White Christmas and Brenda Lees Rockin Around The Christmas Tree.

You cant help but get in the holiday spirit the moment you hear them. Thats why theres a new bumper crop of Christmas albums every year. Christmas music is big business. If its done right, rewards are felt for years to come.

This year is no exception. Several new Christmas albums have been released just in time to make your holidays a little brighter.

My favorite of the new releases is Kelly Clarksons Wrapped In Red. Its a perfect blend of something old, something new, something borrowed and something red.

If youre a fan of Clarksons music in general, youll appreciate Wrapped In Red. The album opens with the title track, which could easily find itself on the Hot 100. Like most of her biggest singles, she helped to co-write the track. I believe thats the magic behind her success.

Everybodys happy/snow is falling down/prayers are being answered/miracles all around, she sings on Wrapped In Red, a song that drives the courage to finally tell someone how much youve loved them.

She also co-wrote the tracks Underneath The Tree, Every Christmas, Winter Dreams (Brandons song) and 4 Carats.

What is a Christmas album, though, without White Christmas? Clarkson does a beautiful job on the Irving Berlin classic. I think even Bing would approve.

Other notable classics revisited include Blue Christmas, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Run Run Rudolph, Please Come Home For Christmas and Silent Night, featuring Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood.

Susan Boyle is back with her second set of holiday music on Home For Christmas. Once again, Boyle delivers a beautiful mix of holiday favorites including Little Drummer Boy, The Christmas Waltz and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. She also performs in duet O Come, All Ye Faithful with Elvis Presley.

Look for other new releases including the first Christmas album by Mary J. Blige, A Mary Christmas. Also available this year: Let It Snow: A Holiday Collection (Jewel), The Kings Gift (Trace Adkins), Holiday Songs (Bad Religion, Kool For The Holidays (Kool & The Gang), Winter Loversland (Tamar Braxton), Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas (Various Artists), The Classic Christmas Album (Barbara Streisand), and Buon Natale: The Christmas Album (Il Volo).
