Rhonda L. Gray, 63, of Omaha, formerly of Nebraska City, died Nov. 17 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. She was born on Nov. 29, 1949 in Nebraska City to William Marion and Janice Beatrice (Lamb) Gray. She graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1968. She then attended Patricia Stephens School of Modeling in Omaha.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church and worked for over 30 years for Continental Airlines/United Airlines as an international service manager. During her time with the airlines, she traveled all over the world.
She is survived by her mother, Janice Gray of Nebraska City; siblings Robert Gray and wife Candy of Nebraska City, Candice Doherty and husband William of Chico, Calif., and John Gray and wife Lynn of Nebraska City; special friend Jerry Stoner of Omaha; her beloved dogs: Poochie, Brownie and Indie; her horse Miss Madison; seven nieces and nephews: Robert Gray, Jr. and wife Nicole of Lincoln, Kyleen Poulicek and husband Dan of Omaha, Lauren Doherty and fiance’ Brett Isaacson of Boca Raton, Fla., Erynn Doherty of Chico, Calif., Jessica Gray of Dallas, Texas, Taylor Gray of Nebraska City and Jennifer Whipple of Los Gatos, Calif.; four great-nieces and nephews: Robi Gray, Nicolas Gray, Hailey Gray and Wylder Whipple; aunts uncles, other family and many friends.
She was preceded by her father, William M. “Bill” Gray on Dec. 27, 2006.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Rev. Randy Rasmussen of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
A memorial fund is being established in her memory to aid abandoned pets.
