  • Marvin LeVern Goff, 68, of Hurst, Texas, died Oct. 25, 2013 in North Richland Hills, Texas. He was born Nov. 21, 1944 in Nebraska City to Marvin and Wilma Goff. He graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1963.

  • Marvin LeVern Goff, 68, of Hurst, Texas, died Oct. 25, 2013 in North Richland Hills, Texas. He was born Nov. 21, 1944 in Nebraska City to Marvin and Wilma Goff. He graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1963.
        He served proudly in the Air Force from 1963-1967. He worked for Hormel Meat company for 22 years before partnering in Audio Editions, which specializes in audio books.
        He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Goff; sons Michael Goff and wife Linda and Alex Goff and Angela Glass; grandchildren McKenna, Grayson, Viviana and Britton; brother Norman and wife Betty; sisters Kathryn Ann Armstrong and Sharon Roark and husband Richard; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
        Marvin volunteered at a senior citizen center in Fort Worth and at the Odyssey Hospice, organizing the book work for them. He loved his family and traveling with Barbara. In the eight years of their retirement, they visited eight different European countries. He and Barbara enjoyed bird watching. He will be remembered for his sense of humor.
        He was preceded by his father, Marvin Goff, and his mother, Wilma Royer.
        Burial of ashes will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nebraska City.
        Memorials are suggested to the Tarrant Area Food Bank in Fort Worth or to the donor’s choice.
        A remembrance gathering will be held from 1-3 p.m. at Table Creek Club on Nov. 23. All family and friends are invited and welcome to share a special story.
