The Peru State football team, which cracked the top 10 of the NAIA poll for the first time since the 2000 season after last week’s 51-24 win over Central Methodist, will return to action this Saturday at Pioneer Field in Nebraska City for a 2 p.m. clash with another rated team.
Peru State, 7-1, is rated No. 9 while Missouri Valley is rated No. 12 in the latest poll and has a 5-2 record.
The Bobcats, who have played all of their games campuses away from Peru State and at local high schools due to the continuing renovations at the Oak Bowl on the Campus of a Thousand Oaks in Peru, will also be celebrating homecoming festivities on Saturday.
This will be the first of two games for Peru State at Nebraska City High School. The Bobcats will play host to Evangel University for Senior Day at 1 p.m. on Nov. 9.
Peru State has played two games at Falls City High School and two games at Auburn High School this year.
