Omaha film historian Bruce Crawford has scheduled his 33rd classic film salute with the 50th anniversary of The Great Escape.

Co-star David McCallum will help introduce the film and talk about his career in television and the CBS series NCIS.

There will also be on display, a replica of the famous motorcycle Steve McQueen rode in the film , and the now iconic scenes of him jumping the fences on his cycle to gain his freedom.

Artist Nicolosi will again unveil a U.S.Postal Service Commemorative Envelope honoring the film.

The event is 7 p.m Nov. 9th at the Joslyn Art Museum's WItherspoon Hall theater 2200 Dodge St. Omaha NE.

A benefit for the Nebraska Kidney Association Tickets are $22 and available at all Omaha Hy Vee food stores customer service counters and also at the Nebraska Kidney Association.
