  • A traffic stop for speeding led to the arrest of a Lincoln man on an outstanding warrant and numerous violations including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
    Just before 1:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, a trooper clocked a 2007 white Cadillac traveling 124 mph in a 65 mph zone eastbound on I-80 near mile marker 401.  A traffic stop was made just off of the I-80/I-180 interchange. Upon contacting the driver the trooper smelled the odor of alcoholic beverage.
    The driver of the vehicle, Bret E. Marschman, 27, Lincoln, was cited for driving while intoxicated 2nd offense, speeding, open container and no valid registration. He was lodged in the Lancaster County Corrections on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
