  • J. D. Noll, 66, also known as James D. Whaley, of Wymore died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center. He was born Jan. 30, 1947 at Valentine to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Whaley. He married Virginia Christensen of Kansas City, Kan., on Oct. 24, 1970. They divorced on Oct. 15, 1975. He later married Marsha Noll and they later divorced.

  • J. D. Noll, 66, also known as James D. Whaley, of Wymore died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center.  He was born Jan. 30, 1947 at Valentine to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Whaley.  He married Virginia Christensen of Kansas City, Kan., on Oct. 24, 1970. They divorced on Oct. 15, 1975.  He later married Marsha Noll and they later divorced.  
        He did road construction, was employed by Rush Sanitation in Beatrice, and resided in Hamburg, Iowa, and Nebraska City before moving to Wymore.  
        His hobbies included car races, dancing and collecting afghans. He was especially proud of his Cherokee Indian heritage.
        J. D. is survived by son David Whaley and
    his significant other, Jana Reed of Beatrice; daughter Karyn Fuser and husband Darron of Kansas City, Kan.; grandchildren Dailee Jo Whaley, Brittany, Tylor, and Kylie Reed, and Natalie and Jackson Fuser; former wife Virginia Christensen; foster brothers Gary Ames and wife Joanne of Wymore and Olen Ames and wife Kathy of Beatrice; and by a foster sister, Alice Layman of Wymore.
        He was preceded by his parents, foster parents Melvin “Shorty” and Berneice Ames, and  sister  Barbara.
        His family is hosting a Celebration of Life reception at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Blue Springs Fire Hall. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place. His ashes will be buried at a later date.
        The Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore is in charge of the services.
