Carol F. Creek, 87, of Nebraska City died Sept. 27, 2013 at the Ambassador in Nebraska City. She was born on Nov. 3, 1925 at rural Hamburg, Iowa, to Enos Milton and Viola Mae (Fivecoats) Adkins. She married Bill Bruce Creek, Sr. on May 24, 1941 at Plattsmouth.
Carol and Bill owned and operated the Lincoln Motel in Anna, Ill., for several years. They also operated the former Nebraska City Fish Market. She worked at Morton House Kitchens, American Meter Company and at St. Mary's Community Hospital in the kitchen for many years.
She is survived by her four children: Bill Creek, Jr. of Nebraska City, Cal Creek of Nebraska City, Sallie Steinauer and husband Dan of Columbus, and Scott Creek and wife Ronda of Nebraska City; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Doris Flanagan of Sullivan, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded by husband Bill in 2002, sister Neva Creek and brothers Howard, Lloyd, Hubert, Louis and Dallas.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City with Pastor Rob Conner officiating. Burial will follow the services.
No visitation or viewing will be held.
