  • Although better than a year ago at this time, Iowa has had below normal precipitation and most of the state ranges from abnormally dry to experiencing moderate to severe drought.

  • Although better than a year ago at this time, Iowa has had below normal precipitation and most of the state ranges from abnormally dry to experiencing moderate to severe drought.
     
    Central Iowa is near or at historic low levels for shallow groundwater. Stream flows vary according to the immediate area of sporadic rainfall, but overall they are in below normal levels.
