Jerry Lee Henderson, 77, of Nebraska City died at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on Sept. 11, 2013. He was born Sept. 25, 1935 in Omaha to Ralph and Isabel (Allison) Henderson. He married Sharon L. Cheuvront on Aug. 16, 1958 in Omaha.
He is survived by son Neal Henderson and wife Janet of Bellevue; daughter Jana Wardian and husband Mark of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren Eric Wardian, Bryan Wardian, Kathryn Wardian, Christina Henderson and Nicole Henderson; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his wife on Dec. 3, 1999.
He lived in Bellevue before moving to Nebraska City many years ago. Jerry served many years as a navigator in the United States Air Force and was a retired major. He later entered the computer field and worked at Chiles Heider Investments in Omaha until his retirement.
Jerry had many interests including the Bellevue Little Theater, playing bridge, reading and completing home study courses.
There will be no viewing.
The family will greet friends and relatives at Marshall Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24. A private family service will be held at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.
A memorial fund has been established.
