A Talmage woman was killed Tuesday morning when her pickup truck left Highway 128 and rolled.
The Otoe County Sheriff's Office suspects that Maureen J. Hrouda, 49, was thrown from the vehicle around 5 a.m., but the accident was not discovered until 12 hours later.
A farmer noticed debris along the roadway about a 1.25 miles east of Paul and investigated.
He noticed the 2003 Chevrolet pickup down a deep slope and partially hidden by tall grass.
The sheriff's office reports that the truck had been westbound on Highway 128, drifted across the center line and entered the south ditch.
It then turned back to the roadway, began sliding sideways, entered the north ditch and rolled several times.
