Nebraska City Utilities had been working on an electrical line at Sixth Street last week and closed the bridge for two days to improve the sanitary sewer line crossing.
Utility Manager Leroy Frana said two poles will be set and electric line restrung, but one-lane traffic should be maintained.
The road closings Wednesday morning were marked with barricades, but without detour suggestions.
Cheri and Madison VanScyoc of Sidney, Iowa, parked at the softball complex and walked across Business Highway 75 to 19th Street.
They waiting for railroad repair machinery to clear  to access the health clinic and
    Ambassador Wellness Center.
VanScyoc said a detour sign would have be helpful because she did not know that 10th Street was still open to traffic.
Drivers who used 10th Street this morning to get to Northside School may find it closed Thursday.
