He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, brother and friend to many.
Edward was born October 27, 1934 in Cook, Nebraska to Edward and Anna (Neemann) Pieper. He served our country proudly in the United States Navy and retired in 1974. He later worked for Bubeck Service Agency and retired in 1996.
He was selfless to the needs of those around him including family, friends and anyone in need of help. He was strong willed, caring and patient with a loving heart. He always held a no-regrets kind of motto to life and held back no punches, what you see is what you get.
He loved his family and spending time with them. Some of his favorite times were trips with his wife, Patricia, to Big Stone Lake which was his second home, fishing, wood working, reading westerns and cooking. He had a passion for the outdoors as well as animals, especially one special little Scottie dog named Tillie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Edna Hanson. Mr. Pieper is survived by his soul mate of 49 beautiful years, Patricia Pieper; his loving children, Debbi (Craig) Hartley of Nebraska City, Vicki (Mike Tharp) Koehly, Cindy (David) Sanson and Stephen Pieper; sisters Dorothy Hessler, Margaret ( Darrel) Johns of Syracuse, Ruby (Walter) Walker, three adoring grandchildren, Drew Hartley, Paige Hartley and Chelsea Koehly.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and forever in our hearts.
