Clara Frieda (Pieper) Stoner, 91, died at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse July 28, 2013. She was born April 7, 1922 in rural Johnson County near Cook to Charles and Hattie (Puppe) Pieper.
Clara married Harland Ralph Stoner on March 7, 1941 in Cook. She dedicated her life to raising her family.
She is survived by sons Charles and wife Diane and Ronald and wife Christie; daughters Linda Hoover and friend Junior Erisman, Barbara Harris and husband David, Debra Lamblin and husband Eric; son-in-law Ronald Fisher and wife Carol; sisters Amanda Stoner and Darlene Carman; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a number of other friends and relatives.
She was preceded by husband Harland; daughter Dona; son-in-law Lee Hoover; siblings Minnie Kramer, Gus Pieper, Irma Stoner and Hilda Melhop.
Clara was a member of the Luther Memorial Church in Syracuse.
Funeral services will be held Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Park Hill Cemetery in Syracuse.
Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
