Nebraska City received a welcome rainshower Tuesday morning breaking a streak of rainless days dating back to July 7.
The rain Tuesday fell at Nebraska City at a rate of three inches per minute and totals were reported at an inch north of town and 3/4 inch at the courthouse.
Otoe County received 1.2 inches of rain June 28 and had rain over .15 inches July 7-9.
Since the June 28 rain, there were 22 days with no precipitation.
Rain totals since May range from 11 to 14 inches.
Between July 9 and July 23, 11 of 11 Otoe County stations reported less than a half inch of rain and six reported less than .10 inches.
