  • Nicholas J. ‘Nick’ Bronzan, 91, of Arizona, has died. He was the son of Vlaho and Luce Bronzan of Tehachapi, Calif.

  • Nicholas J. ‘Nick’ Bronzan, 91, of Arizona, has died. He was the son of Vlaho and Luce Bronzan of Tehachapi, Calif.
        He was a veteran of World War II and was known for keeping busy and being a productive member of society.
        In the early 1940s he worked in shipyards in Southern California and served in the Army Air Corps. He married Alta Schacht of Lincoln in 1943 and operated the Otoe County (Osage precinct) family farm from 1949-1965. It had been in the family for over 100 years.
        He also worked as a journeyman meat cutter and quality control manager in manufacturing and construction settings. He was a successful business owner/ operator in northwest Missouri for over a decade prior to retiring in 1984.
        Nick and Alta traveled in the states and Europe then settled east of Phoenix, Ariz., in 1986.
        He was preceded by his siblings.
        He is survived by his wife of 70 years, his sons and their families, seven grandchildren and their families and three great-grandchildren.
        Cremains will be dispersed in a ceremony at a later date.
