Leadership Class No. 8 is hoping for a turnout of volunteers this weekend to make progress on the Memorial Way brick project.
The class is replacing the pea gravel and laying bricks salvaged from the Fourth Corso paving project. The class has previously constructed a performance stage in the area.
Jim Kuhn said he is hoping for enough volunteers to station people at "brick mountain" stacking bricks and prepping them for laying.
Others will cut bricks and some will assist brick layers.
Kuhn said he will ask the city to haul off dirt and gravel and deliver pallets of bricks, if there are enough volunteers to get the bricks laid half through Memorial Way.
He advised volunteers to bring water and where work clothes.
