Jamison Kensey McIntosh, 89, of Nebraska City died June 20, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse. She was born on Sept. 4, 1923 in Pittsburg, Pa., to Bertram and Blanche (Jamieson) Kensey.
After graduating from high school, she attended Pitt University. She married Thomas R. McIntosh on Dec. 24, 1942 in Pittsburg. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She had worked as a receptionist in a dental office and as a real estate broker in both California and Florida.
She moved to Nebraska City in 2008 from Atlanta, Ga., to be near her daughter Lauren. She was a member of the Book Club and volunteered her time at Friends of Faith Store in Nebraska City.
She is survived by children Eric McIntosh and wife Jody of Anchorage, Alaska, Glen McIntosh of Atlanta, and Lauren Cotton and husband Rev. John of Nebraska City; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and friends.
In honoring her wishes, no services will be held. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.
Memorials may be given to Habitat for Humanity in her memory.
