Looking for something different to add to your salad? While most “salad-goers” use the traditional dried cranberries or apples, try something unique. Non-traditional fruits can add a new excitement to salad, such as pomegranate seeds, slices of nectarine, peaches or watermelon. These all provide different vitamins, antioxidants and fiber. Another idea is to try and use fresh fruits instead of the dried fruits as they can provide significantly less calories.
