Clifford W. “Cork” Lant, 71, of Lincoln died  June 12, 2013.

He was the military funeral honors coordinator with Nebraska Army National Guard, a retired funeral director, and a retired colonel with Nebraska Army National Guard.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 54, Scottish Rite, Sesostris Shrine, Gateway Sertoma Club and Kiwanis Club. He was past president of Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and past member of Board of Directors of Better Business Bureau.

He is survived by wife Beverly “Bev”; son Steve (Janae) of Lincoln; daughter Lori Oden and fiance Jared Muth of Crete; six grandchildren, Andy, Ethan, Wyatt, Madelynn, Shelby and Riley; brother Tom (Diane) and John (Charlene), both of Nebraska City; step-daughters Justine (Sean) Owings of Lincoln and Teri (Bill Dennis of Kansas City, Mo.; nieces and nephews.

Services are at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, at Spirit of ’76 Armory, 1776 North 10th St., Lincoln. Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.  

Visitation isa after noon Wednesday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A St., Lincoln, with family greeting from 6-8 p.m.
